About Us 

The SmartHome idea startedin 1999 as a personal hobby in Ankara, Turkey where Mr. Kim Betts, was residing at the time. He researched and communicated with many companies in the U.S., then decided to apply the benefits of automation to his own home.

Kim started with light automation and in a few months, had wired every electronic for automation. Kim spent time improving the product and in 2000, established Smart Systems, Ltd. Smart Technologies was added two years later.

One of Smart Technologies' first client projects was to automate a 132-foot yacht. After completing this project, Smart Technologies then became a leader in smart home technology.

The company has been featured in the media including CNN International-Turkey, Better Homes & Gardens, Home Art, Maison Français, Home Builders of Turkey, Home Electronics, Electronic House, etc.

Smart Technologies is now based in Atlanta, Georgia, helping developers, homeowners, businessesmen, and luxury hoteliers to make the most of automation.
